This is my hark back to the fifties style boudoir salons; but to be honest I just wanted to play with a gothic look. The style might be a little theatrical, but I like it, it has a charm of looking a bit like the Bates motel crossed with the Rocky Horror Picture Show. The reason is I always loved the haunted house and ghost trains at the fair, but they scared me so I wanted to create the first colourful, fun haunted house.

To complement the look, I’ve included over-sized mirrors and secret rooms hidden by bookcases (called a trompe l’œil). But obviously, despite its gothic edge it has all the best of home comforts and my award winning staff.
