Well this is where it all starts, and I’m out cutting Fern Britton’s hair and chatting with her about she got together with celebrity chef husband Phil Vickery. Later I dragged the camera crew back to my Dad’s place and spent time with him and his girlfriend. Then it’s on for the Lee Stafford Salons Christmas 2003 bash for partying, awards and partying again.

Carlo, Steve and me sit down to thrash out ideas for the interior of the new salon; which obviously leads to a fight, although everything is resolved by the night when we go out to celebrate. I’m also preparing an event to drum up the best talent for Brighton and giving BB Beauty Nush Nowak a brand new look.

Well you met my Dad on a Monday, so it’s time to complete Meet the Parents
with my Mum, and along with her, my brother and my nephew from Billericay. Meanwhile Carlo and friends are out drumming up interest for the show at the Brighton Dome, and my Mum has to offer moral support when everything gets a little bit tense.

The day starts after a late night with a trip up to Lancashire for a product development meeting before racing back to my flat to give Phil Vickery a hair cut. I managed to get his advice on a few recipes and subsequently put them to good use when five of my friends dropped round in the evening. Another long date, another late night.

I took inspiration from the brilliant Pop Idol and came up with Crop Idol, the perfect way to get even more great talent into my Brighton Salon. I had to fight to get it passed the group, but I thought it would be the best way to see how the applicants would cope under pressure; and besides, it’d be fun. Then it’s on to the Grand Hotel to give Bollywood star Honey Kalaria, a hair cut and in return she gave me a few dancing tips. Finally, back to the salon where the Crop Idol contestants were gathering…
